HISTORY OF DEMETER AMPLIFICATION
1986
VTMP-2 Tube Microphone Preamp is introduced. The only tube microphone preamp in production at the time, and the first ever to feature fully regulated B+ and filament power supplies, metal film resisters, variable feedback, gain control, instrument input, polypropylene capacitors, and an all tube low impedance output. The tube revolution in pro audio had begun. Used by CSN&Y, Sting, Stone Temple Pilots, Seal, Glen Ballard, Suzanne Vega and many, many others. Over 3,000 in use.
TGA-3 Slave Amplifier is produced. Only 30 built.


1987
VTBP-202 Bass Preamp is built. The bass preamp featured a solid state crossover and effects loop. 50 built. Out of production.

1988
Designed the preamp system used by L.R. Bags.


1989
TGP-3 Three Channel Guitar Preamp is introduced. The sound of Stone Temple Pilots, The Misfits, Trent Reznor and Clint Black. 100 built. Out of production.



1990
Company is officially renamed to Demeter Amplification.
VTMP-2A Microphone Preamp is updated with Jensen 13K6A transformer and starts to win all the microphone preamp shoot outs its involved in.
STDB-1 Stereo Tube Direct Box is built. The unit features variable gain, a Jensen transformer, microphone level output, full regulated voltages and a low impedance line level output. 300 built. On the road with CSN&Y, the Eagles, Rage Against the Machine, and many others.
Quad Tube Direct Box is introduced after a special order. Only 20 produced.
